What it means
Amana indicates DRN is a long-drain alert and the washer is taking too long to drain water.
Try this first
- Make sure the drain hose does not extend more than 4.5 inches (114 mm) into the standpipe.
- Check the drain-hose installation and use the drain-hose form to secure the hose to the drainpipe or tub.
- Do not tape over the drain opening.
- Make sure the drain-hose end is higher than 36 inches from the floor to help prevent siphoning.
- Check the drain hose for kinks or clogs.
