What it means
Amana identifies dU as a lid-unlock condition. The washer detects that something on top of the lid may be preventing the lid from unlocking.
Try this first
- Remove baskets, laundry, or other objects from the top of the washer lid.
- After the obstruction is removed, allow the lid to unlock and check that the washer returns to normal operation.
Can I keep using it?Resume use after the lid unlocks normally and the obstruction has been removed.
Repair usually required?Use Amana service if the lid still will not unlock after the top of the washer is clear.
