KitchenAid Range / Wall Oven CAL Error Code
What it means
CAL refers to the oven temperature-calibration feature. KitchenAid provides several calibration methods because the correct control sequence depends on the model.
Try this first
- Only change calibration when the oven consistently cooks hotter or colder than expected.
- If the control has Settings, Options, or Tools, open that menu and select Temperature Calibration or Oven Calibration. Follow the display instructions and press START to save.
- On some models, press and hold the Temp/Time down-arrow keypad for 5 seconds. Adjust with the Temp/Time arrows, then press START to save.
- On other models, press and hold BAKE for 5 seconds. Adjust with the Temp/Time arrows, then press START to save.
- KitchenAid allows model-dependent calibration adjustments up to approximately 30 F higher or lower.
- Press Cancel instead of START if you want to leave calibration without saving the change.
