LG Dryer dE Error Code
What it means
LG identifies dE as a door error: the dryer door is not completely closed.
Try this first
- Open the door and make sure the lint filter is fully seated and no clothing is caught in the door.
- If the dryer is new, inspect the door and frame for visible damage such as a bent door.
- If there is no visible damage, unplug the dryer or trip its circuit breaker.
- Wait 5 seconds, restore power, close the door firmly, select a cycle, and press Start.
- If dE returns, request service.
Can I keep using it?Follow the manufacturer troubleshooting steps and confirm normal operation before returning the appliance to normal use.
Repair usually required?Service is required if dE returns after the door checks and five-second reset.
