LG Front Load Washer FF Error Code
What it means
LG says FF stands for Freeze Failure and can occur when the temperature inside the washer falls below 1 degree C and water in the inlet or drain path freezes.
Try this first
- Remove all laundry from the washer.
- Pour warm water at 50 to 60 degrees C into the drum, close the door, and wait 1 to 2 hours for the drain pump to thaw.
- Open the lower access cover, drain water through the drain tube, and close the drain-tube cap securely.
- Run a Rinse x1 cycle to confirm operation.
- If IE appears because the washer will not fill, thaw the inlet hoses and taps with warm water and reconnect them.
- Do not use boiling water.
- If FF appears when the weather is not cold or does not clear after thawing, request service.
Can I keep using it?Use the washer only after frozen water paths are fully thawed and a test cycle operates normally.
Repair usually required?Request service if FF occurs without freezing conditions or remains after the thawing procedure.
