What it means
The cooktop surface temperature is above approximately 150 F.
Try this first
- This is normally a hot-surface warning rather than a failure.
- Do not touch the cooking surface while the indicator is displayed.
- Allow the cooktop to cool.
- The indicator should turn off after the surface cools.

If HS remains when the cooktop is completely cool, reset power for about 30 seconds.
