Maytag Front Load Washer F8 E1 Error Code

What it means

Maytag indicates F8 E1 means the washer is not detecting the correct amount of incoming water.

Try this first

1. Press Power if the control is unresponsive and allow the approximately 8 to 10 minute drain routine to finish.
2. Make sure both Hot and Cold water valves are fully open and both inlet hoses are connected.
3. Check the water inlet hoses for kinks.
4. Verify the hot hose is connected to the hot valve and the cold hose to the cold valve.
5. Turn off the water supply and inspect the washer inlet screens; clean or replace them as needed.
6. If an anti-flood device is installed, the manufacturer recommends directly connecting the washer to the water supply for optimum performance.
7. With the hoses removed, run water through them and replace a hose if water flow is restricted.
8. Make sure the drain hose does not extend more than 4.5 inches (113 mm) into the drainpipe or laundry tub.
9. Use the U-shaped drain-hose form for the correct insertion length.
10. Do not seal the drain hose into the drainpipe with tape; leave an air gap.
11. Make sure the standpipe is at least 39 inches (99 cm) above the floor.
