What it means
The ice-maker water inlet is faulty; Miele lists a kinked inlet hose, dirty inlet filter, incorrectly installed water container, stuck float switch, software issue, or missing ice-maker magnet as possible causes.
Try this first
- Remove any kink from the fresh-water inlet hose and clean the inlet filter.
- If the model uses a water container, remove it, clean the surface underneath, reinstall it fully on its guide rail, and verify that the float switch moves freely when the container is shaken.
- For the software check, set the freezer to -0 F (-18 C) for at least 48 hours.
- Check that the ice-maker drawer magnet is present behind the holder on the left-hand door handle; if the magnet is missing, contact Miele Service.
- If the fault continues, arrange Miele service.
