Miele Steam Oven F11 Error Code
What it means
Water cannot drain from the steam generator, commonly because of limescale/mineral deposits or restricted hoses.
Try this first
- Descale the steam oven using the owner instructions.
- For DGC 6500-DGC 6800 and DGC7XXX appliances, enable Automatic rinse in Settings to reduce dried mineral deposits.
- For 6000- and 7000-series appliances, set water hardness to the highest level so deposits are removed earlier.
- For highly mineralized water, Miele specifies a liquid descaler containing 30% pure food-grade citric acid: restart the descaling cycle and, when prompted for tablets, use about 3 oz (100 mL) of the liquid descaler and top up with hot fresh water.
- If F11 appears during or immediately after descaling, run another descaling cycle with fresh water only; do not use more descaler or a stronger concentration.
- If the fault continues, arrange Miele service.
