Whirlpool Dryer
Whirlpool Dryer F3 E5 Error Code
What it means
Whirlpool identifies F3E5 as a moisture-sensor issue that occurs when five consecutive loads are dried without the dryer registering moisture-sensor data.
Try this first
- Press the Power button to clear F3E5 and restart the dryer.
- Check that the dryer is level.
- Adjust the dryer feet if necessary so clothing can make proper contact with the moisture sensors.
- Avoid testing with a very small load or single item because it may not contact the moisture sensors.
- Try a larger load or use an Automatic cycle instead of a Timed Dry cycle.
- If the problem persists, perform the manufacturer power cycle.
- Turn off the dryer circuit breaker or breakers for 1 minute.
- Turn the circuit breaker or breakers back on.
- Start a Time Dry cycle.
- Monitor the dryer for 1 minute to make sure the error code does not return.
- If F3E5 continues after these checks, call for service.
