Whirlpool Dryer L2 Error Code
What it means
Whirlpool identifies L2 as low or no line voltage that can prevent the dryer's heater from turning on.
Try this first
- Check that both household circuit breakers serving the electric dryer are not tripped.
- Confirm the dryer has the required 240-volt supply and that the power cord is properly installed.
- Unplug the dryer before checking terminal screws at the dryer.
- Turn the dryer circuit breaker(s) off for 1 minute.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker(s).
- Start a Timed Dry cycle.
- Monitor the dryer for 1 minute to make sure L2 does not return.
Can I keep using it?Correct the household power-supply problem before relying on dryer heat.
Repair usually required?If the supply checks do not correct L2, a qualified electrician or appliance service may be required.
