Whirlpool Top Load Washer
Whirlpool Top Load Washer F8 E6 Error Code
What it means
Whirlpool indicates F8 E6 can have two meanings depending on the washer model: the lid is open during the soak cycle, or the washer did not detect hot water.
Try this first
- If the lid is open during the soak cycle, close the lid to resume the cycle.
- If the code is related to no hot water, check whether the hot and cold inlet hoses are reversed.
- If the hoses are reversed, connect the cold water hose to the cold inlet and the hot water hose to the hot inlet.
- Run another cycle after correcting reversed hose connections.
- Make sure both the hot and cold water valves are fully open.
- Make sure both hot and cold inlet hoses are connected to the washer.
- Disconnect the washer from its power source for 5 minutes.
- If the washer is plugged into an outlet, leave it unplugged for the full 5 minutes.
- Reconnect the washer to power.
- Check whether the code returns.
If the error keeps returning
