What it means
Whirlpool says LF means the washer is taking too long to fill.
Try this first
- Make sure both inlet hoses are connected and both hot and cold water supplies are turned on.
- Check that the drain hose does not extend more than 4.5 inches into the standpipe.
- Use the U-shaped drain-hose form and secure the hose to the standpipe or tub.
- Do not tape over the drain opening.
- Whirlpool specifies a minimum standpipe height of 39 inches.
- Make sure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged and remove any blockage from the drainpipe or utility sink.
- Be aware that the washer may lock the lid and run an eight-minute pump-out routine after detecting the fill problem.
- If LF remains after correcting the water supply and drain-hose installation, use Whirlpool support or schedule service.
