What it means
The washer is reporting a water drainage fault because the drain is restricted.
Try this first
- Turn the washing machine off before working around the drain filter or pump.
- Make sure the drain hose is not kinked and that its end is not installed higher than Miele's maximum delivery head of 3 feet 3 inches (1 meter).
- If the drain filter or drain pump is blocked, clean them according to the Miele procedure and use caution because retained wash water may be hot.
- Reinstall the drain filters correctly and tighten them securely to prevent leaks.
- If the drainage fault persists or Miele indicates a technical fault, contact Miele Service.
Can I keep using it?Correct the drainage restriction before continuing normal washer use.
Repair usually required?Service may be required if the washer still cannot drain after the hose, drain filter, and drain pump are checked.
